How do I register to create an account?

Follow link to https://scotlandwastecapacityplatform.org and click register, then follow the on screen instructions to create your account.

What details do I need to log?

You will need to have the following details:

  • Company Name (and site name)
  • Company Address
  • Primary Contact Details - Name, Telephone number and Email
  • Local Authority areas covered
  • Available Resources - Staff, Vehicles, PPE

What if I don’t know numbers of available resources?

Its preferable to add as much detail as possible with regards to the type and number of available resources - if you aren’t sure of exact numbers, you can choose ‘available’ to highlight that you have some spare capacity and encourage a Local Authority to make contact.

Can other companies see what resources I have listed as available?

No, companies only see their information on the site – no other companies' information is visible to them.

Why do I need to select Local Authority coverage?

Local Authority users only see details of companies that have listed available resources in their area, so it’s important for Operators to highlight where their resources could be used to aid Local Authority enquiries.

Will my available resource information automatically update?

No, as any transactions occur away from the site - Operators are required to log in and review/update their available resources. This is particularly important after any resources are assigned to an authority to ensure that the information displayed on the site is accurate.

How long will the site operate for?

At this stage we don’t know how long the impacts of COVID-19 will be felt across the sector, it is our intention to keep the site running for as long as it is needed to facilitate private companies supporting Local Authorities in minimising collection impacts
